CFO Tasks

As long-time readers of my blog already know, I believe that in any activity, one must start by defining the ultimate goal or goals. Determine what things are being done for. Not why it is being done, but why it is being done.

In the CFO’s activities, I would identify several main tasks-directions of “why”:

  • Operational continuity. You need to operate without downtime or disruption, managing risks and minimising potential threats.
  • Build an effective and optimal, including from the point of view of profitability-risk, management of business assets – cash, tangible and intangible assets, human capital of the enterprise, other assets.
  • Build activities in an “environmentally friendly” way – for the company, society, planet. This includes customer-oriented processes in the company – organise all services and processes with the most “human” face possible, minimise bureaucracy and focus on the interests of the customers of your activities.
